User Configuration

NOTEFILE saves some configuration information (like, the registered user name and key, the recently used file names, and some Autodial data) in a personal storage location on your computer. This location depends on the operating system being used.

• For Windows, the Registry \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FedSoft\notefile key location is used.
• For Linux, the reg.xml file in the current user’s $HOME/.config/notefile/ directory is used.

If you no longer want to use NOTEFILE in your system, (after deleting the executable and data files of NOTEFILE) you may also remove the locations mentioned above. See also, Installation and Removal.
