Copy ASCII Command

Purpose

The Copy ASCII command is used to place a copy of any selected text from notes information to the Clipboard. Any non-ASCII characters in the text are converted to their nearest ASCII characters by first using the definitions given in a Translit File that exists in the same directory as NOTEFILE executable. Before using this command, the appropriate translit language must be selected in the File | Setup... dialog.

To copy text from notes information as ASCII

1. Select the text you want to copy.
2. From the Edit menu choose Copy ASCII.
3. Any selected text is copied to the Clipboard as ASCII characters. For example, a selected text such as Boğaziçi Üniversitesi is copied as Bogazici Universitesi to the Clipboard if a translit language like Turkish or English is in effect. However, if the selected translit language is German, then Bogazici UEniversitesi will be copied to Clipboard.

This command is unavailable if you have no selected text. Use the Paste command to paste a copy of this text to another place.
