Three weeks in Italy
(10 Sept-02 Oct 2005)

Day 20 (Thursday, Sept 29, 2005)

Next morning there was fog and sunlight together and the garden and pool of our hotel overlooking the fields down the hill was such a beautiful place to be... after breakfast we took our car and drove to Siena where we entered with such en ease and found a wonderful parking place... then we started walking in the old city... we left the Duome as the last thing to visit... this is a really extraordinary building... here before we leave the town we tasted Panforte sweet but this time with Marzipan...

After Siena on our way there was Pienza town... that's a very beautiful and calm place and deserves a short visit... a place where you can have a nice meal if it the time...

After Pienza we reached Montepulciano town... that's another beautiful Medieval town...

After Montepulciano we headed to our Cortona city where we had plan to rest... it was very crowded and difficult to enter the city by car... also the hotels were in such narrow streets that I had to park the car and walk to find a hotel.. but luckily we found a room at some hotel (Hotel Lucca) just on the small piazza on the entrance of Cortona and we even found a parking place right in front of the hotel... Cortona is a beautiful place and part of the movie "Life is beautiful" was filmed here...
