After Todi we went to Orvietto which is a beautiful town... there are plenty of things to see amd we choose the most important ones... Orvietto was devastated in WW II.. we visited the old undergound caves where later were also used in WW II...

Leaving Orvietto we reached Lago di Bolsena where we had a nice fish meal... at Bolsena there were the catacombs but I was wrong as I was expecting them to be at our next stop at Viterbo... nevertheless we enjoyed the nice weather, the lake and our meal...

After our wonderful fish meal we drove to Viterbo but we thought we could better go to Lago di Bracciano and stay the night there... but this later proved to be something as it was Saturday evening and everyone from Rome, which is very close, were rushing here for the weekend... we decided to return back to Viterbo and stay there... at Viterbo there was such a lot of traffic and we had difficulty in finding a hotel... but we managed it quite well and found a descent hotel (Balletti Park Hotel)...
